Hey!

Those of you who found yourselves on this website because you know me personally, thank you. For those of you who do not know who I am, here’s the dish:

I am a twenty-something travel addict (or ‘enthusiast’ for those glass-half-full types), I prefer my dog to people, surfing to sleeping,  and wine over water.

As a former psychology student and forever life student, I am always learning what it means to be human. The experience of life is ever changing and my abroad adventures continue to fuel my passion for understanding the world around us.

Global Frolic is an attempt to put something concrete out there whilst feeding my enormous Wanderlust appetite. It also serves as a sounding board for others who are on the same journey, inspiration for those who are static, and explanation for those who don’t understand.

Granted my passport at age 20, I went overseas for the first time to study in Spain. It felt like a veil was lifted, a fire was lit, the travel bug had bit me in the ass. Ever since, my Wanderlust has blossomed into a passion for travel.

Feeling oppressed by the current status quo in America, I am on a mission. I am here to show you how travel can change your life for the better. Traveling will open your eyes; you will be humbled. You will feel uncomfortable. But you will never regret the lessons learned on this journey. Getting out of your comfort zone, your bonafide life bubble, will ultimately make you a better person. The human condition develops when it is pushed, tried, and challenged.

I am dissatisfied with the American Dream. Probably because it is just that, a dream. I prefer reality, where I can kick off my shoes and walk in the grass, or sand, or whatever lies beneath my feet.

To learn more about how I travel, check out this post.

Life begins outside of your comfort zone.

If you have a suggestion, question, comment, gripe, worry, or would simply like to meet up for a beer, surf, or frolic…. shoot me a message.

I love new people, new places, and new conversation. Try me.

Cheers.

“inspiration for those who are static, and explanation for those who don’t understand”, “I am dissatisfied with the American Dream. Probably because it is just that, a dream.
